Several people here (emphatically not Ennis) have implied that we are
talking about something Bach tossed off when he plopped himself down on
the organ bench one day. Do I have to say out loud that this is a theme
and variations on a par with the violin chaconne, and one of the greatest
compositions of all time? Something extremely carefully composed for the
ages? Kindly put yourself in that frame of reference if you wish to
respond to this thread.
