Hi Scott & List,
Don't know what the true purpose of the Carillon mixture is, but I suspect it
is for tiny bells effects and there certainly are plenty of these stops
around. There was (is) one at Westminster Cathedral in London; Nicholas
Kynaston used it for the introduction of Vierne's Carillon de Westminster,
supported by Flutes 8 & 4, on the famous EMI LP: The King of Instruments. A
remarkable effect, try it!
Cheers,
Russell Jackson.
