Speaking as an organist, I would be curious to know how an organbuilder
would go about designing an instrument with no input or interference
from an organist or consultant.
Everyone knows what organists want - stops, stops and more stops, and to
get as many as possible they are willing to start on the slippery slope
leading from unification to electronic "voices" to the electrium.
But where would an organbuilder place the priorities, given a location
and a fixed budget?
