ORG-L-er's,

On Sunday, 7 November 2004, Zion Lutheran Church, Marengo, Illinois, will host Dr. John A. Behnke in a Hymn Festival entitled "The Story of Salvation."  The Festival will begin at 3:30pm in the church.

Many will remember the Organ Project that was related to the list about two years ago.  Fabry Pipe Organs, Inc. of Fox Lake, Illinois, repaired, rebuilt and enlarged the Haase pipe organ.  The work included a new three-manual console, a Peterson multiplex operating system, new wiring, additional wind reservoirs, four new tremulant motors, and the addition of six ranks of pipes and a zimbelstern.  The organ is presently forty-six ranks.

Behnke is professor of music at Concordia University Wisconsin, and is widely known as an organist, composer and arranger, and handbell expert.  He currently has numerous works in print with seventeen publishers worldwide.

Any and all of you in the vicinity of Marengo, Illinois are warmly invited to attend.  The church is located at 412 Jackson Street, 4 blocks east of Route 23 and 4 blocks north of Route 20, in Marengo, Illinois.  Hope to see some of you there!
