I used to live in the DC area.  The fabulous thing was all the NPR streams
from WAMU at American University.  The bad thing was also all the NPR streams
from WAMU.  Both DC and Baltimore carry the original NPR brand stuff, so they
don't buy Pipedreams from Minnesota Public Radio.  Very sad.
