Wednesday's "All Things Considered" contained a story about the
closing of St. Jon [sic] le Baptiste Church in Lowell, MA and the salvaging
of various elements from the building.

I was brought up short by the statement, "A few items cannot be saved,
such as the massive pipe organ or the ornate ceiling murals." I suppose the
word "saved" is open to interpretation, since the building is to be changed
into condominiums. Does anyone from the area have details about this organ
and its disposition--reported to Organ Clearing House, sold to a builder . .
.?
