Hi List -

Today's Denver Post has a nice large color picture of the Casavant Freres
Organ located a college on campus. The accompanying story tells of a 1.5
million dollar grant to fund an organ program that was donated by a local
family. The article stated that the program would be aimed at undergraduate
studies and that students need not have prior organ training. They hoped to
have 20 students enrolled by next year. In spite of its impressive display,
the Casavant is only 34 stops and is in the German Baroque style (I think
it's about 25 years old). Nice to have the program, but I hope there are a
few more organs available of some significance in the area. The school
(University of Northern Colorado) already houses a 19 rank Wurlitzer donated
some years ago - not that they're generally thought of as church organs!
