Ron: You're confusing two separate and unrelated organs. The New York Military
Academy is not West Point, even if both organs were built by Moller.

But I believe you are mistaken about the organ at West Point. While
you are accurate about the influence Frederick Meyer had in the
enlargement of the organ over the years, I seriously doubt that Dupre
contributed anything to enlarge it. According to J. W. Harvey's
Masters dissertation on the West Point Organ, any
stops added prior to 1951 were the results of memorial gifts: the Orchestral
Division was given by Col. C. D. Willcox in memory of his wife; the 62 rank
Harmonic Division was given in 930 by the Association of Graduates, U.S.M.A.
et cetera. In fact, although I cannot find any written confirmation of this
so far, I recall hearing or reading somewhere that the organ is the only outlet
for memorial contributions in the cadet chapel. I may well be wrong on this,
however.
