Jean Rondeau’s latest album, including Bach hpd concertos, is scheduled for release on Erato next month. Ho-hum, you may say.

Here’s what we haven’t seen in quite a while: the recording is a vinyl LP. I got an email from Acoustic Sounds today advertising it. Here’s the link:

Acoustic Sounds also sells hi-res downloads of Jean’s other recordings. He fits right in with most of Acoustic Sounds’s offerings, which are in the categories of rock and jazz. It must be the hair.

Speaking of Bruges laureates, Mark Edwards has sent his new CD, Orpheus Descending, to those of us who backed the project. It took a long time, but the wait was worthwhile—it should be released for general sale later this year, and I highly recommend it.
