Warmest thanks to Andrew, Claudio, Michael, David, Chris, Carey & Anne 
for all the suggestions. I haven't seen the instrument yet - only 
photos. Even more worrying than the crack and bridge pins are some of 
the tuning pins. Can their holes be plugged (with the same wood?) and 
redrilled at the same place (for instance if the angle is completely off)?
