Yes, and the two books by Robert Philip are essential. As to dancers, I
don't know... good dance can be very musical too, and the ways have probably
changed as much as in music.
Btw. the C major almost works with just the 3 harpsichords (without
strings). Maunder suggests the 4-harps Vivaldi arrangement was originally
like that (like the 2-harps C major - the effect is certainly very similar).
