Here at IU we charge about $500 for a short term rental of a Steinway D, i.
e., a performance, and the renter must pay a piano mover for the to and
back, bringing the total total nearly a thousand smackeroos. So I think
your fee is right on the money, so to speak. The important thing is to not
be too cheap, as that may send the wrong message. You want the renter to be
respectful of your beautiful harpsichord. And I know it is beautiful.
