I really find this thread somewhat incredible. Way up north here in
the boondocks of Ottawa Canada, I checked with three local piano
repair stores. All three use acrylic 'felt' - precisely because it is
mothproof. Two also commented that it is 'quieter' than wool.

BTW, Wm.Ross used acrylic 'felt' for my harpsichord keyboard and
dampers - in 1969. All is in perfect condition today.
