Hi Carol, and other readers,

I just want to chime in with that I fully confer with what you stated. I have reworked many harpsichords, extracting hard bridge and nut pins, changing them for graded pins in soft brass that I can bend around my nail. Combined with a well-balanced stringing in soft brasses and Nuremberg Iron and a good voicing this will unvariably improove the tone and remove a lot of dirt in the sound, while it is more resonant and speaking.
