Dear Dennis
I've seen entire keyboards with the balance point pushed back in a
design effort for light touch, but your description sounds like your
keyboard has never been intentionally balanced. Jacks have enough
trouble returning without having to push down head-heavy or sluggish
keys. I think the best instruments will have consistently balanced
keys for evenness of touch and the best operation. The days are over
of the indiscriminately drawn pencil line across the keys for the
addition of a lead slug at the same point in each key!
Regards
CB
