I would lower by a half note. Lately some brass strings of my italian busted out of nothing. When I checked it, I found the pitch having risen by a quartertone.
Cheers from rainy Germany

Betreff: Storing an instrument
Dear Colloeagues, need a spot of advice:
If an instrument is stored for weeks or months & not played pending
removal to another location, should the strings be slackened ?
I think not but maybe I'm wrong?
