These lengths are typical of the instruments made before late 1979 when I was able to push through a redesign. They will just bear “iron” stringing at 415. At 392 they go just a little false. 392 and triple position transposing is my normal practice for this version but I am willing to string to 415 with two position transposing and low-tensile wire, throwing in about double the number of spares for the sizes used above c’.
