I seem to recall reading here about jacks made with a 3D printer.

Has anyone tried to make guides and registers this way? What would be 
the drawbacks, other than aesthetical and ethical? If I had to have 
plastic in an instrument, I'd rather have it in the guides than in the 
jacks.
