Andrew, as you seem so enamored with Prof. Jarvis' work, I think you need
to look at this with a more critical eye.
Prof. Jarvis is making very controversial and monumental claims which would
contradict decades of Bach studies. So the imperative is for him to prove
his case.
And a book or documentary does not cut it. He needs to publish in scholarly
peer-reviewed journals and present at scholarly conferences. If Prof.
Jarvis has
such a compelling case he will have no fear of scrutiny. But that is not
what has transpired. Until he submits himself to the scholarly Bach
community (and make no mistake Prof. Jarvis is not a Bach expert) and
defends his bold claims I will regard his assertions as fatuous.
