I have a feeling I will be posing this question incorrectly, but here goes.
Limiting the discussion to the Ruckers and French traditions,
are there elements of the framing of a wing-shaped harpsichord that would
be considered the most important in resisting string tension?
I understand that the answer may be that every detail is important,
but I am curious if any structural features might be considered the most critical.
Always appreciating the opinions on the list, thank you,
Thomas Donahue
