That's called patina - only *america* craves the brand new / the no
maintenance brand new. Americans need to read umberto ecos book about
American culture called Travels in Hyperreality: Faith in Fakes
or if you want that critique home grown try the Tubes song, What Do You
Want From Life!? ( "well you can't have That, but if you are an American
citizen, you Are entitled to.......")
