Thanks everybody for your kind answers, still did not get what I was looking
for.

Actually, EITHER copying textual improvements back to the Bärenreiter
OR copying fingerings forward to the Henle
produces exactly the same result.
I wanted to know if some colleagues with a similar experience may have a
reason to prefer one way or the other.

Ultimately, however, what I am really trying to get is somebody telling me
"Claudio these are old Urtexts, there is a NOTICEABLY better new printed
edition!". (No I do not want to get a PDF and print it

All the best,

CDV

PS1: Reading downloaded files from a tablet has been suggested.
Good for young people, not for those who have spent half a century getting
printed scores. I am a computer nerd myself, and I am a fan of electronic
publications. However, neither my pocket nor my harpsichord's small stand
will be happy with a large tablet. Furthermore, for either practice or
recitals it is not practical to switch back and forth from tablet to printed
scores, and with more than 2 metres of bookshelf with harpsichord scores, it
is hardly an option to scan all of them.

PS2: Alternatively, provided that a significant improvement over Hicks
edition is available only as a download, I may go for it. Two-face printing
and ring-binding on 100mg A4 paper is certainly a viable option (I have a
binder machine). Nevertheless, this sort of ring-bound thing does not turn
pages as well as a printed score.
