Of the 15000 Z boxes sold I encounted an unusual one today and wonder if
anyone else has one. This instrument is dated 1972 almost if not the end
of the run. The keyboard is plastic covered but has short harpsichord
like keyheads and long black sharp risers. Not the clunky Pratt-read
variety. Also the jack rail in smaller, narrower without the sponge
rubber and most unusual has brass brackets slotted fot two screws and
having a single round post penetrating a hole in the jack rail itself.
Perhaps these parts were from english kits.
Everything else looks and sounds the same. Has anyone else seen these
alternates of the original kit.
I spoke with the builder who swears the parts are all original to the
kit. Jack Peters ??????
