Hi,
As the original strings were lost, I had to come up with a new stringing
schema which you can see below. Here is what the columns mean:
- Sounding length: length in mm from nut to bridge.
- Material: CuZn = yellow brass, Fe = Iron. All strings are from Malcolm
Rose. The iron is type B (for fortepianos and square pianos up to c. 1820).
- Diameter: string diameter in mm.
- #Semitones: the number of semitones before the string breaks. E.g.: a
value of 2 means that the string will break when you tune the string up a
complete tone.
- Tension: the tension expressed in kg/m³
