Dear Harpsichord-Building Colleagues,

a friend here in Germany recently bought a trunk of Sumpfzypresse (Taxodium), that once was a tree in a park in Trier, Germany.
He had it sawn up into ten planks, up to 400 mm wide, 3500 mm long and 40 mm thick.
The wood still needs some time to dry up. It ist quite wide grained, so rather suitable for bodys than for soundboards.
The man lives next to the Nürburgring racetrack (which makes it interesting for Bill.... :-) )
Anyone, who might be interested in Cypress should send me an E-mail. I can send pictures and make the contact.
I will not build an italian anymore, so I do not need any of the wood myself.

Greetings from river Rhine

Michael
