Of course, Facebook is ideal for builders like Bill who want to show their wares and their skills. This is the enjoyable part. The boring part, the greater part, is all those uploads of videos from YouTube with inane or zero comments - especially those ghastly recordings by Landowska and Richter.
I had a brief - a very brief - exchange with a member about F. Couperin, one of my favourite harpsichord composers. I actually believed the first response to my posting: "Any friend of Couperin's is a friend of mine". I then sent information about books I knew on the composer and recordings, but apart from a cursory reply heard no more. Facebook attracts the superficial.
As I said in my September posting, this List is the place for serious, in-depth discussion about the music and the instruments we love.
