Hi Mustafa
Some makers did use ply back in the 60's and 70's in Australia. I know an instrument with at least a plywood soundboard and a possibly case as well and it still sounds good, you don't need a different design for ply. The interesting thing about ply is that the tone never develops or changes over the years and a ply instrument is bullet proof as far as coping with climatic extremes. If you live in an area where suitable timber for harpsichord building is hard to get it it may be the only option. Having said that all the best instruments are made from solid timber a ply instrument would be nearly as much work to build and it still has to function musically. Interestingly high grade ply ie marine is quite expensive a lot more than solid wood.
