Hi Andrew,

I was quite wrong to say creep is not readily quantifiable. I do apologise. Here is possibly more than you could ever want to know about creep and creeop equations in materials science:

No mention of PVA glue here, but polymers are discussed, and it is interesting to note that creep in concrete is sometimes desirable to relieve what otherwise may be catastrophic cracking. Perhaps a harpsichord joint creeping a bit is more desirable than it catastrophically failing. [I really don’t know about this, though.]
