Dear fellow Listers,

I am astonished to report that the entire Finchcocks collection and museum contents - The Richard Burnett Collection of Early Keyboard Instruments, and everything else - is being auctioned off on May 11 2016.

There is a very beautifully prepared full colour catalogue of all these magnificent instruments available for download.

To me it seems sad to see such a fine collection dispersed to the winds. There are some very significant harpsichords there.
