Tom Goff (and his assistant, the cabinet maker J. C. Cobby) made only 15
harpsichords -- most of his time was spent builing clavichords (I think
there were 116).
Of the 15 harpsichords (all two-manual) at least one is known to have been
detroyed in a fire. It ought to be possible to identify the surviving ones.
He was a charming if shy man, totally dedicated to his instrument building,
even though his instruments are not of the historical kind that most
players now prefer.
Best wishes,
DM
