Well. I wonder about terminology moving north! Schutz spent loads of time in Venice. Wrote those Italian madrigals. Froberger influenced by italian toccatas ricercares etc. Muffat and Corelli. Handel and italian everything. Bach and Vivaldi. Caldara in Vienna. Pizza!!!
