"I'm really confused by what you might mean by "cent deviation is different depending on the octave"" Surely, it can't be all that difficult to figure out what he meant by that:  The interpretation in Hz of one cent increases the higher up you go.

No, ttuner, when a temperament is specified using cents (not the usual 
method with this tuner) uses a floating point number. You can specify to 
any sane degree of precision, though there's no point to using more than 
a couple of digits past the decimal, of course! Same goes for specifying 
the original frequency - you can set it to 415, or 415.3, or 
415.288888884 if you want.

No idea where you're getting +/- 0.5 cent from. Maybe you're thinking of 
another app?

(BTW, I wrote the original ttuner program that the app is based on...)

I'm really confused by what you might mean by "cent deviation is 
different depending on the octave".. A tuner that gave different values 
for different octaves wouldn't be very useful, would it?  I think maybe 
you're talking about something completely different than I am...
