Hey Owen,
Thank you for your efforts to understand my lack of clarity! What can I
say! The notation is from My Korg tuner when I tune the strings. And,
yes, all the notes are from the deep bass. The A2 I reference is the first
A you encounter as you come up from the bass end of the instrument. It
begins with a G and goes directly to a C and then follows a normal octave.
The instrument was strung by a young student apprentice at a major
harpsichord shop as part of its refurbishment. Those sounding string
lengths I cited are over 3 feet long!
I did restring one note, the A2 with a .41mm brass string and it works
perfectly with no slap. Yet, I sense I have lots more restringing ahead.
