Have you inquired of Stephen Birkett? His "P- wire" is the best and most
historically accurate, and he is also very knowledgeable about historical
stringing schedules.  I had my French double harpsichord and Dulcken
fortepiano restrung with his wire, and it was transforming -- as was also
repinning the bridge and nut with softer brass pins.  The two together
produce a much more focused, longer-lasting tone.
