For those who are into historical piano's, I just got this in my mailbox:

 

Dear Sir/Madame, 

it is my great pleasure to inform you again of the 1st International Chopin
Competition on period instruments, which will be held in Warsaw from 2 to 14
September 2018.

Please kindly notice that the application form will be available on our
Competition website on 1 February 2018. Candidates wishing to enter the
Competition must submit a complete Competition application no later than 1
May 2018.

The list of candidates accepted for the Competition shall be made public by
an announcement posted on the Institute's website no later than 30 June
2018.

The competing pianists will have at their disposal historical pianos from
the Institute's collection, as well as copies of period instruments,
including instruments specially commissioned for the Competition. You can

The Jury of the world's first ever Chopin Competition on historical
instruments includes outstanding representatives of the musical world, whose
artistic and professional work places them among the foremost specialists in
the domain of historical performance and eminent interpreters of Chopin's
works. The Competition timetable features three rounds: the first two rounds
are solo recitals; during the third round, finalists will perform selected
Chopin works for piano and orchestra, accompanied by the legendary Orchestra
of the Eighteenth Century. Besides monetary awards, the prize-winners will
receive offers to give prestigious concerts with the Orchestra of the
Eighteenth Century, as well as invitations to participate in recording
projects realized by The Fryderyk Chopin Institute.

We would be more than grateful if you would spread this information in your
community, thus enabling all interested pianists to participate in the
Competition. Please find attached the Competition poster.
