Hello David,

My girlfriend & I have moved 4 harpsichords myself (using our own
vehicles) 4 times, altho none was a double.  One was a Hubbard Moermans,
which fit well into my girlfriend's Toyota 4Runner SUV, to my great
surprise.  We went from Prescott, AZ to Aptos, CA (1440 mi r/t) to get
it, and I couldn't be happier.

We also went to LA from Prescott 3 times (800 mi. r/t each) to get 2
smaller instruments  (a Zuckermann Italian & a  Flemish single) which
both fit in my Toyota Tacoma pickup.   The 3rd one (Zuck concert) needed
a UHaul trailer, which rattled a lot but it worked.

So I would expect that you can do this too, even if you have to rent a van.
