Dear listers,
I can't find in the archives the response to a simple (and probably dumb) question, and hope you would help me.
I have a fairly simple gobar deck, the distance floor to ceiling is 96 cm, about 38''.
What sticks should I use for gluing bridges? I'll make shorter sticks for gluing in the soundboards.
I mean, which wood, how long, how thick?
I tried with beech, 120 cm long, about 1 cm thick, but the pressure is too little and the bridge goes wandering.
I used one stick every 10 cm.
The fir breaks while curving, and I gave away.
Would you please help?
Thanks in advance,
Domenico
