Kevin ask about this: The most valuable relic now instorage
which I have as yet been not able to see (about 5 years), is
the remarkable polyigonal spinet attributed to Antegnatti circa 1530. On the right side are two separate bridges set apart for the relative stress of iron verses brass strings.
These Antegnati spinetts are shorter than the Typical
venetian ones so the brass strings could be thicker. Having the separate bridges allows for better flexibility and load distribution. This instrument is labeled Gheerdinck no.60.1391 and is found with lengthy text in Denzil,s book on page 37 W533.
