Hi all,
Currently I'm building an instrument based to certain extent on a Goermans/Taskin in Edinburgh and I would like to hear your opinions on soundboard thickness. It seems to me really thick as measured on the plan, around 3,8mm average going above 4mm at some areas, and in treble thinned only to 3mm.
I'm afraid this would give to much wiry sound.
Original instrument sounds beautiful of course, but there is always question of measuring accuracy..
