If you find it difficult to produce a winding pitch as great as 2 mm, 
you could recalculate using a thinner winding wire and a closer pitch to 
achieve the same tension.

Careful. Soldering involves heat, which will alter the temper of the 
wire, potentially making it softer and more liable to break.
