Hello Clyde,

The Korg is indeed a great tool, for those of us who don't have the
patience to use forks. You can use it manually to set the desired note
(although I'm not sure if this will accomplish what you want?). I use
this if an instrument is farther off pitch than the auto mode can
handle. Has saved me a lot of broken strings!

The only problem I've found is that the Korg doesn't "hear" well in the
treble; above about c''' (at 8' pitch) it doesn't pick up the sound,
which makes it pretty unusable for the 4'. I use an iPad with Cleartone
for that; it seems to have no trouble here and the two devices seem to
correlate perfectly. There are a couple of other tuning apps for the
iPad also; haven't used them much.

The odd thing with the Korg is meantone; the OT-120 has 2 modes: "Eb"
and "D#"; how these correlate to, say, quarter-comma meantone I can't
say. Maybe someone else on the listserv can opine here?

Just curious - what instruments are you maintaining?
