I cannot remember why John Toll had the instrument changed other than he was very used to Delrin. Delrin is a brand name DuPont gave to what is basically acetal with something added to i think make the material stronger. I do not fully know the processes but others will I'm sure. Celcon i have never really got on with but that could well be me and others seem to get good results. I do think you will be wise to carry out your experiments with feather, Tilman is very experience over such maters.

>So Michael, can you share what your experience has been regarding acetal and quill, and perhaps also the reason(s) why John Toll returned that instrument from quill to plastic? For someone such as myself who has used only delrin for decades, these accounts are invaluable as I consider the changing over to quill. I am sure others are finding this all very informative as well.
