So, really people, can we NOT reply to messages in the digests without miles of repeated bits? How hard can it be? How can anyone who can’t create a crisp reply be expected to deal effectively with a harpsichord?
So the Digest arrives, and in there someone has posted something about which we want to comment. Then:
We copy a relevant reference segment of that person’s post.
We hit REPLY
We modify the Subject line - or not, really, who cares?
We select EVERYTHING in the Reply body and hit DELETE.
We write: "So and so asks, or suggested"……and we PASTE.
We say our piece.
We send the thing and do the confirmation drill.
And Bob is our uncle.
Or we just have a posting address in our mail program and send a BRAND NEW email to the List and say our piece.
You should see the dog’s breakfast that came in with this morning’s Digest.
