I would have to pull sources to investigate but I believe Griepenkerl/Roitzsch state in their preface that their volume 1 contains works believed composed for "pedal clavichord."  (This may be a mis-translation of the instrument into English, but they were clearly referencing a string instrument.)  The volume includes the Passacaglia, the 6 Sonatas, and the Pastorale (in which 1st movement of 4 requires pedal for long pedal notes suggesting a drone.  The length of these notes would to me suggest the organ.)

NB in BWV 582, the penultimate pedal note in Peters (G&R) differs from the reading in BG.
