If this is a double-manual harpsichord, another possible source of noise 
on the upper manual (or on the lower when coupled up) is the 
upper-manual keylevers bouncing on the coupler dogs. IMO there needs to 
be a tiny bit of lost motion on the coupler to prevent this. P.
