I've answered Domenico off-list so that I could include an Excel
spreadsheet. Note that there is also an excellent clavichord list via Yahoo
Groups: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/clavichord/info .
Anyway, if more people are interested I can send a text-only version to the
list which describes how I calculate these positions given a certain
temperament.

Dear listers,
I am trying to understand how the position of the tangents in a fretted
clavichord is to be calculated.
Would you please provide a brief explanation or point me towards some
literature?
I know we in the list have some renowned clavichord makers.
