I prefer my plectra to be short and somewhat thick, compared to most.
I cut them off right at the string or maybe a smidge past.
If done correct you can get a change in tone depending on how you
play/touch the keyboard.
Just my two cents. I used to have historic references for my practice of
doing that, but they
have since fled my mind. but if it sounds good, who gives a crap what my
sources are?
