I did exactly this with my Italian which a few years ago was in a similar dry-shrink situation and developed cracks all over. It has held two seasons so far, so this technique is definitely worth a try. Anne A. recommended to me privately to use pressured air to push the glue further into the crack, but if the soundboard planks are flexible along the glue line, you might get away with rubbing them up and down against each other a few times, making sure that they're alined horizontally at the end.
I did have to shim one bigger crack in my Italian. And at that one spot where I was pretty sure that a rib had detached from the soundboard (big bang during the rehearsal...), I very carefully drilled through the board, pumped glue into the holes and space between rib and board (injection needle...) and used screws to pull up the rib against the soundboard. One needs to be sure of the rib's position, obviously. And a good match between the chosen drills and the screws is really important, or one will end up cracking the rib. I used tiny hand-cut trenails to fill the drill holes afterwards. Not ideal, but if done neatly, it looks handicrafty enough.
