Hi David and Claudio and all,
Yep, my limited knowledge re tunings, as Claudio says, would be the
meantone era --
Anyhow -- the reason it'd be neat to find access to these recordings, is,
I'm currently in love with Chi passa per questa strada, and it'd be
interesting to hear a rendition from the 1950s.
I listened to the link
https://www.facebook.com/RichmixProAudio/videos/10155626818183068/
interesting -- don't know what that piece is --
the person posting, is seeking to sell a bunch of the
recordings/LPs/etc. as a collection.
Oh, if we made an anthology of !!!???#$#$($)()(*!!!s as Claudio
suggests! : )
years ago, playing a sing-along Messiah, trying to have harpsichord
NOT stuck way back behind everything with lid required to be shut --
director at one point said, well, it doesn't matter if they can hear
the harpsichord anyway -- ignoring the "continuo is continuous"
aspect........
I've not listened to anything in Pythagorean tunings.....
though I suppose if I did it'd be gay Pythagorean! Gesine
