Dietrich, thank you for the Vater info, missed that one.. You really are directly at the source so to speak, playing original Zell. It would be a big contribution to the harpsichord community to measure one of these instruments. Pretty much all of these were restored at some point so probably measurements of the soundboard exist somewhere. If I restored such instrument I would definitely measure the soundboard since it is the most important info.

Richard, it seems so.. I just finished my instrument after Goermans, pretty thick soundboard although I did thin it a little towards treble. Sounds very powerful, I'll try to make a decent recording and post it.
